Bored while waiting for his potion, Remus idly reached for the stack of photographs peeking from the worn wooden box on Snape's desk. Remus at school, another on a broomstick, sitting by the lake, in the library, with his friends...

Remus had never seen many of the poses. There were dozens, all of him. A nervous hopeful flutter began in his belly. Astonished, he kept flipping through them, forgetting Snape would return any moment.

Confirmation occurred when he saw the mix of emotions play across Severus' face at his return. Confusion, anger, embarrassment, shame.

Wordlessly, Remus stood and kissed him.
