The fact that he was now sleeping with Remus Lupin did not change his opinion on the February date. Nor did the red foil wrapped box on his desk.

"Open it!"

Severus sneered at his lover, but Lupin persisted, "You'll love it. I promise."

"Lupin I cannot open this box. It goes against all I believe in. My morals, my..."

"Just open it!" Remus interrupted exasperated, shoving the box at the potions professor.

Severus complied, tearing the ribbon. He slipped out the delicate crystal bottle. "Eye of Newt!"

"What did you expect? Chocolate?"
