When Lupin wakes he finds that he has shredded his pillow, biting and clawing as if there had been a full moon. The feathers have burst from the case. They stick to his face and neck, damp with sweat, tickling like the ends of lanky hair falling onto his skin.

He races to the bathroom to wash them off, yet the feeling lingers, as if the man from his dream had come to his bed and touched him very differently. But that never happened. Snape is a murderer. There is no waking from this nightmare; it can only be endured.

I don't know--sadly, I think she is the Authorial Sacrifice, created solely for the purpose of snagging any eligible male.... Colour me cynical. My queendom for a good, strong female character....

I just find it hard to believe that a woman who is an Auror, the fastest on a broom of her peers, fell apart THAT MUCH in the name of love. I mean, Merope Gaunt okay, because she never had anything in her life, but Tonks? Acting like Merope crossed with Romilda? I really, really hope Rowling is screwing with us rather than with her!

OOOO! busaikko does not mean to be a creepy weird stalker, but I just looked at your lj page and you went to ROCK CREEK PARK! I used to live in Derwood (by Shady Grove Sta)! I attended Col. Zadok Magruder (who?) HS for a year! 6 years I was there! (sorry... I got a wave of nostalgia here and am a bit giddy) And never shall I go there again, being more-or-less stuck here in japan (hark--the violins--)

My best friend from high school in Potomac now lives in Derwood -- we went to Churchill. Wow, it's a small world! You should come back and visit sometime! Though I am dying to see Japan!

Anytime you care to come to Japan, drop on by! We have spare futons, a child-friendly (i.e. messy) house, and can cook vegan! Plus we live in Culture Central.

My son's first best friend in this neighborhood moved back to Japan and we have threatened to go visit them ever since! LOL, your house cannot be as messy as mine...
