Lupin leaned back, still training his wand on Severus, and Severus straightened to sit the edge of Dumbledore's desk. "How did you get in here? You can't apparate--"

"Did you give Harry Potter the Sword of Gryffindor?"

The truth serum worked on him. "Yes."

"Why?"

"Idiot," Severus said under his breath.

"Oh for--fine, are you helping the Order of the Phoenix to defeat--" Severus put his fingers to Lupin's lips.

"Yes," he said. "Be careful, Lupin.

"Then you are still Dumbledore's man!"

"Yes."

"But this is mad," Lupin said. "You killed him. You'll be killed."

"I don't care," Severus said
