"I know your secrets, Severus." Lupin whispered.

 

Severus' hair stirred, slightly at the breeze, a shiver flowed down his spine. He attempted remain unmoved. Remus took his customary chair at the kitchen table in Grimmauld Place, and the meeting began. It was dull and interminable, as ever.  They had already been apprised of everything that was critical.

 

As the meeting ended, Severus stood abruptly to leave. Lupin stood directly behind him, they were practically touching.

 

"You would have preferred to have been a Ravenclaw, wouldn't you?"

 

Before Severus could retort, the wolf had silently vanished. How did Lupin know that?
