The soloist was an overstuffed mezzo whose best days were clearly behind her. Remus winced. The one time Severus had agreed to come to church with him and it was a hymn sing -
She finished at last, and Remus turned to apologize to his lover. Severus rolled his eyes.
"And now, an old favorite. Please turn to Lesbia Scott's classic, 'I Sing a Song of the Saints of God - '"
Severus is going to kill me, thought Remus, as the organ wheezed out the opening chords.
