"Why won't it suit?" Remus shifted his son to his hip and did his best to ignore Teddy's attempts at conversation. "Indoor plumbing, a yard, an attic that can be converted to a study - what's wrong with it?"

"It's a cheap little semi-detached millworker's house, that's what." Severus rubbed at his neck. "It may have been renovated - "

"You haven't seen the interior." Remus laid his free hand on Severus' arm. "It's the only place we've seen with enough space."

Clean air, clean stone, roses twining up the façade - Severus set his jaw.

"All right, we'll look."
