“Severus? Are you all right?”
Remus’ face fell further with each passing second. He had hoped... but no words were forthcoming from the swollen, red lips.
Severus stared, still slightly short of breath. Why the wolf felt compelled to complicate matters was beyond him. And with a particular knack for poor timing, at that.
Realizing his legs were still spread for Merlin and all to see did nothing to improve the Potion Master’s opinion of this sudden turn.
Severus attempted to push himself upright in a slightly more dignified position, but Remus leaned forward, settling once more between Severus’ thighs.
“Lupin,” Snape spat, finding himself at loss for words, “what are you- what do you want from me?”
Remus wouldn’t move an inch, showing an endearing combination of dominance and vulnerability. He wouldn’t let Severus wriggle away this time. “I... well, I hoped you might return the sentiment perhaps...”
Snape experienced a surge of desperation. “Remus. This is unnecessary and foolish. Do you truly think I would allow you here otherwise?”
With eyes shut, he finished softly, “Why mention what goes without saying?”
Remus filled the silence with tender, knowing kisses; and Severus envied those who could speak these things freely.

Date: 2007-12-29 12:00 pm (UTC)It's sweet & sexy, & has that lovely combination of Severus being simultaneously snarky and romantic ("“Why mention what goes without saying?”) and Remus being dominant & vulnerable. These are some of the elements I enjoy most about snupin, I think. Lovely.
