Disclaimer: JK Rowling owns everything Harry Potter-related. I’m just borrowing from the toybox for a little entertainment. I promise I’ll put them back mostly unharmed.

Author’s Note: Based on the full moon challenge over at [livejournal.com profile] snupin100. I wrote one drabble on 4/11/05, planning on a one-off, but my muses had other things in mind… I think I’m glad I listened to them.

Title: Full Moon
Word Count: (100)
Rating: PG
Challenge: 11 - Full Moon
Characters: Remus/Severus
Authors Notes: Um, hi. I don't know how good my writing is... I'd like feedback =)

Full moon. I watch him – he is pale, more pale than usual, and quaking.
The past month has been hard for him, I know. We have argued, yelled, been cut by shards of glass from things thrown around, but we always end up on the floor in a puddle of sadness, sometimes resolved in a kiss, sometimes my heart breaks as he walks away from me in anger.
For the past week I've been sleeping on the sofa.
But tonight we need each other. It's a month since I turned him. And we are a pack.
Severus' first full moon.

Title: Moon Mother
Word Count: (100)
Rating: PG-13
Challenge: Moon
Characters: Remus/Severus
Authors Notes:

There were cultures that held the moon sacred. The secrets of the cycles of birth and death, they believed, were held in her waxing and waning. Her pull on the tides held as a testament of her power. The moon was the mother goddess, serene and benign. Remus Lupin held the moon in contempt. The cycle of man and beast that she held in her waxing and waning. The power she had over his mind and mood. She was his cruel queen, haughty and cold.

But he loved the way Severus’ skin looked in the moonlight, painted silver and white.
