“Severus?”

Severus continued working, although his heart beat faster.

“You’re late. Were you lost?” Are we over?

Remus slipped inside quietly.

“Afraid someone will see you?” Severus griped. “Sneaking down here like some thief...” You’re ashamed...

He was ill-prepared when arms encircled him, warm breath caressing his neck.

“I would shout it to the rooftops, Severus, but I thought you might want to be more discreet,” Remus murmured. He placed a velvet box before him. Severus stared.

“We can’t...”

“We can. Marry me. I’m lost without you.”

Yes! “Very well,” Severus said. “You do need someone to look after you.”

gah-hah... you wrote snupin *loves* lost indeed. I love how Severus is, but Remus is so clever and sees right through him, and the snark is to protect his (severus') own feelings, and then Severus agrees because it's for Remus own good, and they both get what they want :D

Yes, I wrote Snupin! Can you believe it?
There really is a method to my madness. I think my characterizations of Snape have improved since doing Snape100 and Snarry100 drabbles regularly, so, I wanna see if I can get better at Snupin, too. I have a few Snupin fics in mind that I'd like to try this year...

Oh, I love this! Seeing the insecurities inside Severus' head, and yet the words that come out are all crusty and snarky. It's kind of the best of both worlds, because I hate fics where Snape gets all mushy, and yet in this one we can see that he really cares about Lupin.
