Severus reached for the hissing tabby cat. "John is too young to know better. There's a good girl - "

Minerva delicately rubbed her cheek against his fingertips. "That's right, come on down - you can't stay there all night - "

Something small and dark bounced up toward the cat. Minerva yowled and scampered into an upper branch as Moony, panting, snatched the wolf cub by the scruff of the neck before he could follow.

Severus wiped blood from his hand and wondered again why Minerva had decided to test the 24 Hour Animagus Potion during the full moon.
