The wardrobe rattled hard enough to shake the room. The door burst open, and a limp figure fell onto the floor.

Severus strode forward, wand at the ready. He already knew what he'd see: messy hair, shattered glasses, a snapped wand -

The hair was brown, and there was a mass of darkly clotted blood where the throat had been. How had Fenrir gotten him? "Remus - "

"Riddikulus!"

The body vanished. Severus turned to see his lover, alive and well and looking stunned.

"Severus? What - "

"Get rid of that thing. Surely your students are ready for grindylows?"

Thanks. It shook him, not just seeing the boggart, but realizing that his greatest fear was no longer losing Harry (meaning that Voldemort won) but losing Remus.
