Challenge 150: Snape vs Lupin

As I've apparently decided to stay up all night and it's Tuesday over here in England and April 1st which must be some sort of sign...

Our 150th challenge is officially open!

Snape vs Lupin: You have to pick either Snape or Lupin and write as many drabbles about their relationship from the point of view of the character you have chosen as you can. This doesn't mean you have to write in 1st person, though that's an option, just as long as its clear that it's one character thinking, talking, musing etc. about the other. Any area of their relationship is fair game from when they first met, to what they got up to last night! And don't forget, artists, that we allow drawbles too.

RULES:

1. All usual rules to challenges apply. Check userinfo if you're unsure. If posting more than one drabble in a post remember that lj-cut is your friend.

2. You MUST put somewhere in your header which character you have chosen so I can easily tally up entries. I will be reading each entry as well, though I can't guarantee I'll have time to comment on them all.

3. You MUST stick with the character you have chosen for the whole week. I will be monitoring this closely.

4. LJer's post only on livejournal, IJer's post only on insanejournal. You will be allowed to cross-post once the challenge is concluded.

Challenge will close at 00:05 on Wednesday 9 April. You should be able to work out when that is in your timezone from this site here.

Prizes (photos to come) include a magic wand, a pack of Order of the Phoenix Happy Families cards and a quite adorable Lego Snape. (I couldn't find a Lupin).

The winner is the writer with the most drabbles under their belt and the artist with the most drawbles. Prizes for both are the same.

In the hopefully unlikely event we get a tie I will either split the prizes up so each person gets one thing or go with the person who was the last to post, depending on how many people have tied.

AN: Am I the first? Am I? Am I? *bounces up and down*

Remus trudged wearily home. His birthday dinner had been a disaster. Finding fault with everything, Severus had complained to the waiter, insulted the chef, and then stormed out, leaving Remus to placate the staff and pay a rather large bill for food they hadn’t even eaten.

Upstairs, Remus found Severus sitting in bed, covers up to his chest.

“I hope you’re not expecting an apology,” Severus growled belligerently.

“Wouldn’t dream of it,” muttered Remus.

As he undressed, the bedclothes shifted slightly, allowing Remus a glimpse of… red lace?

Remus smiled. Perhaps his birthday wouldn’t be a total disaster after all.

Minerva wrung her hands, identical hawk-like faces glaring at her. “But how shall we know which is the real Severus?”

“Allow me,” Remus announced confidently. “Unbeknown to you all, Severus and I are lovers. I shall be able to tell by smell which is him.”

“Idiot!” Snape-on-the-left sneered. “Polyjuice produces an exact replica, scent included. Not that I would expect anyone of your limited intellect to know that.”

“Stupefy!” Remus hexed Snape-on-the-right. “Take him away, he’s the impostor.”

Snape-on-the-left blinked. “How in Merlin’s name did you know?”

Remus sighed. “He’d been in here five minutes and hadn’t insulted me once.”
