Lupin groaned, pushing back from a table still laden with remains of Christmas dinner.
"I'm stuffed."
Snape humphed. "You're disgraceful. What if we were attacked? You couldn't move if you had to."
Lupin smiled lazily. "The war is over, Severus."
"That's no excuse for eating yourself into a stupor. What if a new Dark Lord showed up on our doorstep? What would you do?"
"Offer him fruitcake?"
"You're not being serious," Snape grumbled.
"Come here." Lupin's voice was soft as he tugged Snape down into a kiss. "Want to go upstairs and see just how well I can still move?"
