Tin of Chocolates

"What's the occasion?" Remus leaned against the frame of the doorway into Severus's study.

Severus didn't look up. "Hmm?"

"I said, what's the occasion?"

"No occasion, yet."

"So why the tin of chocolates?"

Now he looked up. "That, Lupin, is the question of an idiot. You know what chocolate does to you."

"I do. However, you've been mewed up in here for a month working on that damned manuscript, so it isn't as though arousing me has--"

Severus held up one finger and made a last mark on the page. "And, it's finished."

"Ah. Hence the 'yet,' then."

"Quite."

Challenge 50: Celebration

This week's challenge is Celebration. This can be anything from a birthday, anniversary, retirement, whatever requires celebrating.

And, since this is the 50th challenge: The person who produces the most drabbles this week will receive either 2 months paid time, 6 months worth of extra userpics or something suitably touristy from my home town.

Interlinked drabbles are fine as long as each section is 100 words.

Severus Snape looked disdainfully at the assembled guests. He still wasn’t quite sure how Remus had talked him into it. The invitation had after all merely specified Mr. R. J. Lupin and friend.

“I’m surrounded by Gryffindors,” he muttered.

Remus just grinned. “Oh come along Severus, I thought we’d put all that behind us. And you must admit that the speeches were rather entertaining.”

“Ah yes, Mr. Weasley drunkenly falling face first into the trifle, very droll.”

“Well, apart from that.”

He scowled. “Dragging me to Potter’s wedding reception is one thing, expecting me to enjoy it is quite another.”
