Remus was distinctly aware of the fact that it was early morning and someone was in his bed. And even though his head ached, he was aware of the fact that he had made a complete idiot of himself the night before.

He blamed the copious amounts of red wine on the way he shamelessly flirted with Severus. It was too bad that he couldn’t remember anything past bringing the other man home.

Judging by the soreness in his thighs, things had obviously turned out well. Maybe Severus would agree to another go. Much later in the day, of course.

Severus didn't know where to go, what to do. He hadn't expected to survive the final battle; he'd expected one or both sides to come after him, expected to die protecting Potter, expected someone to take their revenge for Albus' death. Expected to die bravely, or foolishly.

Instead, he was alive, wandering a battlefield strewn with corpses. Lucius. Bellatrix. Moody.

Lupin. Alive.

In a moment they were at Spinner's End, and he was rushing to his laboratory to get potions to pour down Lupin's throat. Pale, weak, alive. Spells were cast, potions brewed.

There was something he wanted, after all.
