Obsession
"Now?" Remus looked pointedly out into the gathering dusk.
"I've been busy all day. I have to."
"Severus--"
"Don't start."
Remus sighed. "I know you feel you need to, but I wish you didn't."
"Only an idiot wouldn't see--"
"I. Never mind." Remus set down his book and stood. "Try not to be too long. It's late." He watched as Severus set out down the lane, immediately running hard. He looked until he couldn’t see him in the dark distance.
The war had taken its toll, and the obsession was worsening.
He wished he knew how to help him.
