Title: Pained Eyes

“I can’t do this anymore, Severus,” the voice was pained.
Severus cuddled up next to his partner, his hand lay delicately across his chest, marred with a few fresh scratches and fading scars. He tenderly kissed his neck and behind his ears, where he sometimes liked to be scratched.
“And do I look like the kind of man that can be intimidated?” the potion’s master whispered softly.
He received a nuzzle and felt practiced fingers run through his hair.
“I’m sorry Severus, I can’t.”
He looked into Remus’ sad eyes and felt a pain beyond anything Lord Voldemort could bestow.
