“You said, you wanted us to share in each other’s interests. Develop an understanding of one another’s hobbies. You said it would bring us closer together. And give us a chance to find things we could enjoy doing together.”

“Well, yes, but this really isn’t- “

“Did I refuse to attend that flea-ridden jumble sale with you? Or that interminable knitting convention?”

“Well, no, but-“

Remus sighed. How to explain to Severus that patrolling Hogwarts docking house points and handing out detentions wasn’t precisely the sort of shared activity he’d had in mind?

*bursts out laughing* That was unexpected, but it makes absolute sense. I can so see their expressions, Snape's a bit gleeful when he sees a potential victim, Remus' "I should have kept my mouth shut" look. I love it!
